Chequered Plate

Also known as diamond plate and tread plate are lightweight metal plates frequently used on the interior of ambulances and on the footplates of firetrucks. The design on the chequered plate allows the roughness and rigidity to a steel plate so the chance of slipping is reduced. These plates are lightweight and have a long life span. The new and modern use of a chequered plate is as architectural metal materials used in wall and ceiling cladding. It is also used as a decorative element and protective sheets in some designs of doors, chairs, furniture, and industrial uses.
